Dear Esteemed Members and Visitors,

Welcome to the official website of the Korean Society of Diabetic Foot (KSDF).

It is my great honor to serve as the 7th President of the KSDF, beginning my term in March 2025. Over the next two years, I am committed to leading our society in advancing the prevention, treatment, research, and education related to diabetic foot diseases, with the ultimate goal of improving the quality of life for our patients.

Since its establishment in 2012, the KSDF has been at the forefront of professional management and standardization of care for diabetic foot conditions in Korea. Thanks to the dedication and hard work of our past leadership and members, our society has become a central organization in the field of diabetic foot management.

Diabetic foot is not merely a localized foot problem; it is a complex issue that affects the overall health and quality of life of patients and is closely linked to significant social and economic costs. To address these challenges effectively, our society brings together experts from various fields, including vascular surgery, plastic surgery, orthopedics, rehabilitation medicine, internal medicine, and nursing. This multidisciplinary collaboration is the foundation of our vibrant academic exchanges.

During my tenure, I aim to elevate the international standing of our society by hosting global conferences and sharing the latest research findings. We will also strive to raise public awareness through initiatives such as "Diabetic Foot Day" and the revision and dissemination of clinical guidelines. Furthermore, we are committed to expanding the network of certified diabetic foot centers to ensure safer and more effective care for our patients.

I sincerely ask for your continued interest and active participation. Together, let us further the academic development of our society and contribute to the health and well-being of our communities.
